Works perfectly on my 1998 Volkswagen New Beetle 2.0. After a long ordeal with catalysts. Replaced my original with a cheap one from a muffler shop, gave me CEL from day 1. I took it off, but it's generally empty inside. I'm not sure if that's how they installed it or if it somehow burned and kicked my guts out of the exhaust. I was very cautious ordering this because the bugs are picky about catalytic converters and I didn't want a CEL. Installed and no CEL at all! No spacer or anything. All is well. quality and worth the money.
