Review on Spigen Tough Armor Pro Galaxy Tab S7 Case (2020) with S Pen Holder - Black by Terry Napoleon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It protects but the outer shell isn't that durable

- would be rated as medium or low protection - not recommended if the tab s7 is intended for younger children. I recommend looking into a fully enclosed, at least waterproof, case if allowing children unsupervised access - e.g. I wouldn't let my 5 year old son take it to the backyard to watch his YouTube shows alone. I've had this case on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 for 4 months. Installed as soon as my tablet was delivered. Installation was easy and was the perfect size for the tablet it was designed for. All cutouts that allow access to the charging port and power/biometric scanner are aligned in the right places, centered and wide enough to allow for easy access while maintaining optimal protection. The volume rocker is covered, but pressing it on both sides does not require any noticeable additional effort. As you can see from the photos, the viewing area is open and minimally protected by raised edges. I personally prefer this design to cases with clear plastic on the screen. Prioritize display quality over screen protection and be aware of the potential risk associated with a crappy and unprotected screen. If it came with a hard transparent screen protector and it could not be easily removed without damaging the case. I wouldn't buy it. Due to the pandemic, I mainly use my tablet at home and also take it outside. I think it's important because the top floor is carpeted, and I'm not worried about the case protecting my tablet from any height, falling outside, or being thrown off the top step to the first floor. I gave it 2 out of 5 for durability because the outer shell is very durable. The only time my tablet hit a hard floor was about 4 feet from the dining table. The kickstand on the back was locked in the open position. The outer hull was damaged on impact. On the back, a tear ran against the pen holder and in no time at all, the sleeve that wraps around the bezel towards the front camera fell off completely, and the guide that allows the rear stand to slide up was also damaged. and down. The stand cannot be used if the base cannot remain on the rail. After dropping it was still fully functional and when I remove the case there is still not a single scratch on the tablet. In its current condition, the tablet still fulfills the criteria "open packaging - very good condition". That's good news, but then again, it was just a fall from a standard-height table.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No insurance
