Review on ⌚ BLACK RUBBER REPLACEMENT WATCH STRAP by Julie Geier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was definitely a better choice than buying a replacement strap for my watch.

It was definitely a better choice than buying a replacement strap for Suunto Core watches worth $40 or more. The item is a bit rough in processing. There are mold flashes and parting lines that could be solved a little better, especially on a part that costs pennies to manufacture. But there's nothing a knife and some sandpaper can't fix. These strap holders are missing the small tab inside the original Suunto holder that holds them in the strap hole. A small sacrifice. Pro tip: Don't waste your time and frustration and your punctured hands and fingers trying to unscrew the clasp on your watch band if you can't disengage the lock from the end of the dial. This option was not available on my Suunto Core. Not wanting to tear up a brand new kiperka, I reminisced about my old rugby days and how we formed rubber bands (caps). Throw this little rubber stocking in a cup of hot water and it will soften and pliable enough to slip over the clasp of your watch strap.

Pros
  • Clothing, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • Too long to wait
