Great product but color fades after a few weeks

I really like this product. It keeps hair, dander and leftover food away from the keyboard. My old Acer machine was becoming a huge mess and wiping the keys on top didn't help because the clutter gets under the keys. I started using this product when my MacBook Pro was new and it still looks new. The keyboard cover can be freshened up by wiping with a damp cloth and washed off completely with washing-up liquid if it is heavily soiled. It looks like new. Also, keep in mind that on the plane, the flight attendant hands out glasses of water to people right above your keyboard! Just one drop will ruin your trip. I don't know how much liquid this thing can take --- liquid can get in at the very edge, but it might be a bit off-putting in the middle. Finally, people say the feeling is "weird," but here's an unexpected benefit. If you're typing fast, you'll get repetitive stress disorder because the flat keys are touching the ground. I found the lid to soften keystrokes quite a bit, and I didn't experience the usual physical discomfort of using a laptop keyboard. Also, the lid muffles the clicking noise so my wife doesn't complain as much when I'm typing while she's falling asleep. I'm an avid user who types fast. For me it started to wear out after about two months. With heavy tapping, it starts to stretch across the gap and then rises, allowing liquid to easily get under the crease. So buy a few and keep a spare. Also keep in mind that fast typing wears down the top of the keys as well, so the cover protects the keys. The purple ombre color scheme looks fun, and the gray ombre version actually looks more sophisticated than the original keyboard. People complain. via the Caps Lock bulb. It's clearly visible to me. Aftercare: My A-button color wears off after a few weeks. Purple ombre wore fastest β€” in just a week. Then the black keys show through, which looks messy and ruins the beautiful look. After about a month, the lid begins to crease from all the hits on the crevice. I type fast all day, so I'd call that wear and tear rather than a blemish.
