I was looking for something to take with me on a trip and this absolutely helped. I used a USB3 Thunderbolt connection directly to my computer and without knowing how to turn on the monitor (make sure you try to turn on the monitor after plugging it in!), it worked great. Viewing angles are pretty good and the included stand was useful (if a little unglamorous). I wouldn't use a pencil/pen as a makeshift coaster as advertised, but it's also an option if you only have a pen. nice gesture. Overall it works exactly as intended and the performance of the monitor is excellent. There are not many products of this type and I think the price is great.
