This camera has been voted "Best Buy" by a prestigious consumer magazine. After only a few hours of use I returned it and bought a different brand of camera. My three main complaints are: - "tons" distortion of the image - software - USB connection Excessive "tons" distortion of the image is visible in the images. That is, straight lines appear curved. This was most evident at the periphery of the image. I'm very disappointed that Consumer Reportage Magazine didn't mention this feature. I followed the instructions and downloaded the included Easy Share software to my computer. Apparently, this is necessary in order to transfer photos from the camera to the computer. I never managed to get it to work properly. (Of course, this wasn't a camera problem per se.) My previous camera (Olympus) was a plug and play camera that acted almost like another hard drive on my computer, with no additional software required. The USB cable plug was very tight in the camera socket. When removing the cable, I had to wiggle and pull to dislodge the cable. Maybe it just needed "breaking in", but I'm sure after a few connections and disconnections it just "broken". added to a disappointing purchase. I returned the camera for a refund.
