I have used variations of this manufacturer's products for many years. In my experience this is a good substitute for Rimadyl Rx until my dogs inevitably get so bad that I have to use both the Synovi product and a half dose of Rimadyl - and eventually switch to a full dose of Rimadyl. On average I take this product for about 2 years before I have to start taking Rimadyl. Without this product I would have had to put a greyhound to sleep at 9am because he could barely stand without screaming in pain. With Synovi and Rimadyl he lasted up to 13.5 years before I finally had to put him to sleep. He seemed comfortable until the end when all the joints on his back leg fused and he just couldn't get up. My vet says it takes a few weeks to see results with this product, but I've seen impressive results in just a few days. You can usually get this product for a lot less through Revain. Vets usually do this well, but at a much higher markup.
