Great upgrade to a great TWS earphone

Attached photo shows GT-1 on left, GT-1 Pro on right and above that my Hidizs AP80 portable music player. Upgrade by Haylou From GT-1 to GT-1 Pro, everything is exactly as I expected. The comfort is the same, the packaging is very similar, the accessories in the kit seem identical. The only obvious change is the enlarged body. It's just a little bigger, but it's not for nothing - a big battery. While the earbuds themselves have the same battery life as their predecessors (roughly four hours, which is more than enough for a long workout or the occasional trip), the charging case adds 16 grams of net battery capacity. This increases the plug-free time to around 25 hours. I haven't even tried to test this claim, but it seems correct based on how much charge it takes to fill up the buds once. The case also has a very nice new feature in the form of charge indicator lights. In the original GT-1 case, there was only a charge indicator that let you know if the unit was using AC power or not. The new case adds a chain of four lights that serve as both a progress indicator and a charging indicator. Open and close the case and the indicator lights will show you how much charge you have left. The GT-1 Pro maintains the same Bluetooth range as the originals. I was only able to cause some reception problems by going 20 feet and going behind the fridge. The distance in open space was at least 25 feet with no reception problems. Of course, the two earphones also pair with each other very quickly and only present one entry for my Bluetooth transmitter (GT-1 Pro_R). They also work separately if such a function is required in your case. I don't have a smartphone so I only use them with my portable audio devices. The GT-1 Pro, like the GT-1, only connects to this device via SBC. I don't have an AAC device to test, but none of the other codecs work (LDAC, UAT, AptX), but the manufacturer doesn't claim they will work. They only advertise SBC/AAC compatibility but I had to try! They sound great for single driver headphones. A single 7.5mm dynamic driver is certainly not going to outperform some multi-driver hybrids or custom IEMs. But due to its ease of use, the GT-1 Pro is exactly what I need, especially when I'm listening to podcasts instead of music. be in love? It lacks some of the high-end features of other much more expensive TWS earbuds. While the touch surface works well on the headphones, there's no way to change the volume without using the player. Also, removing a headphone does not automatically send a pause command to your player. These may seem like very minor issues, but if you're expecting $300 features in $35 headphones, expect disappointment. I would highly recommend the GT-1 Pro to anyone who wants TWS headphones that do a great job with the basics.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
