Review on Lowepro Trekker Backpack DSLR Black Camera & Photo for Bags & Cases by Alexa Olea

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Will not fit many professional cameras

This case is of excellent quality as are all my other Lowepro cases. Lots of storage space with nice accessory pockets and appears to be very durable. I really want to like this bag BUT there is a HUGE hump in the middle covering the retractable handle that goes to the middle of the inside of the bag. This protrusion does NOT allow a professional size digital SLR with a vertical grip (Canon 5DMk4 with grip attached or 1D series) to enter a traditional configuration where the camera is positioned securely in the center of the body and the lid is closed allows. Before buying from Revain I watched a video of this bag from Lowepro on their youtube channel and when they showed the inside of the bag they made it look like a backpack only version (Pro Trekker BP 450 AW II) there isn't a huge average hump. This is also not visible in the photos. The pictures show my Canon 5D MK4 with the vertical handle in the case. I usually carry 2 cameras (both with grips) with lenses attached as I don't like removing lenses unnecessarily so I really don't want to separate everything to fit in this bag. I am returning it as I cannot use it for its intended purpose without seriously damaging the bag or my expensive camera. This should be a great case for smaller DSLRs with a shorter vertical body.
