We recently upgraded to iPhone 8 with a new data plan. After reading many reviews, I decided that Belkin was the best choice. I didn't want to spend more money than I had to, but I definitely didn't want to go cheap and risk damaging my two new iPhone 8s. Both of our phones are in OtterBox Defender cases and we've had no issues charging them. The loading time seems reasonable. I don't really pay attention as the phone that is on the charger stays there overnight. However, on the few occasions that I used the charger during the day, it seemed to me that it worked fast enough and charged the phone fast enough. I don't like the fact that the green light flashes while charging since the charger is in our bedroom, but that's my only complaint. We solved this problem by putting a sock (neatly!) on top of a green light, but I'll put a small piece of tape on it when I get around to it. I will be buying another Belkin in the near future. Updated: 04/14/21. My 2 Belkin devices are still working great. We now use them with our iPhone 12s and both come with protective cases. Covering the flashing flashlight with a small piece of tape worked great too.
