I have used a different type of lumbar support on my couch at night for the past few months and it has been fine. I decided to give it a try and it's SUCH an improvement! When positioned correctly, it drastically reduces my pain when sitting. Haven't tried it in the car or at work but imagine it would be great in any setting!
