Haven't had to use this in an emergency yet but am so thankful we have it. However, we've tested all of its features because you don't want to wait until you need it to realize it's buggy. Actually I didn't think it would work at first because I didn't read the instructions carefully enough, but after re-reading everything I found out. The radio came out nice and clear, the light is super bright, works great and charges what you need. The best part is how relatively small and light it is. It doesn't take up any space in our kit at all and would fit perfectly in the glove box and now that I've thought about it I might buy a second one for exactly that purpose.
