Review on LEECRAFT RIDGID R4512 Zero Clearance Insert by Leroy Wolfe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed and works as intended.

Bought for my Ridgid 4512 table saw and am having a few problems. First the photo on the site below. The top is flat and is similar in color to the orange Rigid applications. Second, use the board from above as instructed, and when you lift the blade to cut through the gap, you don't want to go to slow speed or you'll smell the smell of burning. As I increased the speed, the smoke disappeared. Make sure you have adjusted the front screws indicated on the sticker on the underside of the rail to prevent any movement after the rail is installed. cross slide. The zero gap worked great with the Diablo 40t utility blade. Not surprisingly, using this insert prevented the 4512 from collecting dust and covered me in sawdust. This is due to the lack of a slot for sawdust to enter the vacuum chute underneath the saw, and I expected this to happen. So if you take your time, follow the directions, and don't mind a bit of sawdust, this is a solid, well-engineered product with nice little adjustments to mask it snugly and evenly in the saw.
