This is a heavy block, I used 10 pounds. Sand at the other end of the 39" C-bar and two more leg pockets. I wouldn't recommend leaving home without her. Haven't tried a battery source or inverter yet, I would go with the generator. The light is AMAZING! The programmable effects work the same as the Apature 300, albeit less than twice as bright, but in my opinion the bi-color and RGB is worth every penny. Can't tell the difference between a disco and a party?5O, candle- or fire flicker, short lamp, tv and flash work very well! Built in fresnel is ok and limits spread to 10 or 12% extra spot. My only complaint is that the reflector is flimsy and doesn't fit snugly. Gaffer rattling. The case is adequate but could be improved to better accommodate the thumbscrews. I would buy it again and have no hesitation in recommending it. Hooray !
