Well. Coarse magnets appear to be very well made magnets and quite strong. Maybe too much?!?!?! Today was my 3rd fall of my first outing with my new Magnet Brute, dropping it off an abandoned bridge that was converted into a fishing pier. I pulled a magnet out of Lake Superior in hopes of finding multi-million dollar treasure. When the magnet emerged from the depths, not only did it not contain any treasure, it also touched the steel girder beneath the bridge deck. I had no idea there was a steel girder there as the deck of the bridge was wooden. Oops. I pulled from every conceivable angle with a force greater than that of six oxen. In the end, my son and I made the final push, using all the strength we could muster in the universe. Then suddenly we flew backwards and landed on our asses. Because the magnet has come loose? NO! The rope eventually succumbed to our incredible otherworldly power. This will be my only walk with this incredibly powerful magnet. Looks like I'll buy more π€·ββοΈ
