I have used all Dremel tools for a long time and before they came out I mostly used the great Dremel 7700 battery powered tool. But I wanted to try something more subtle and I took a chance because the price was very reasonable. If you work with miniatures, removing resin, plastic, lead or tin from circuit boards, this is the right tool for the job. At the lowest speed with a small diamond bur (80 and 100) it's like gently blurring the line. Easy to control, very accurate, slow enough that it never tries to "circumnavigate" any part beyond your ability to keep it steady. I can't vouch for how long it will be, but if he dies in less than a year, he's still worth the price and the next one gets Square Trade's emergency guarantee.
