Black Stainless Steel Sprenger Clamp

My experience with the Black Stainless Steel Sprenger Clamp Ring couldn't be better. The item arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It wasn't overloaded, which is very important to me. It was exactly as described and when it was down a link I knew it was a measurement error on my part. No problem as I have an old collar from which I was able to extract the link. My dog Rocco is a Cane Corso, meaning a big guy. Although very well trained, he was trained on a spiked collar and this is the only collar he responds to. More sound than actual correction. My trainer highly recommended the Sprenger Collar. They get the job done but the ends of the tines are well rounded and won't hurt your dog. As said, Rocco actually responds to sound, not pressure. If you've never used a collar before, be sure to check with a dog trainer to learn how to use it effectively. Many people worry that these collars could harm their dog. My trainer has demonstrated that even if you put the collar around your hand and pull with all your might, you don't injure the skin, which is far more prone to injury than your dog's neck. Also, unlike choke collars, these collars will not pull hair out of your dog's neck. Like I said, it could have gone better. Now all I have to do is buy the right link and learn to measure!
