I bought this a while ago as a birthday gift for my 2 year old twins. It seemed like a good deal as I thought Melissa & Doug had a reputation for making a quality product. I think I'll do a little more research next time. With normal use it didn't even last a week. The dowel running below was not firmly glued. It was like suffocating. Luckily we were able to accommodate all the details. As you can see from the attached photo, none of the pieces of wood are actually broken. They're just not of good quality. This, combined with recent reports of other Melissa & Doug toys containing toxic and peeling paint, confirms the deal. I will never buy Melissa & Doug products again.
