Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Efficient Color MFP Laser: KYOCERA ECOSYS M5526cdw - White/Black, A4 Size by Agata Kulesza แ Œ

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I took it for a small office after a detailed market analysis. I wanted a device with a double-sided automatic paper feeder. And initially considered b / w models. I planned to print on it infrequently (there is an MFP for this - the Canon MF4018 workhorse), it was more needed for scanning. At first, the choice fell on the Canon MF411dw b/w MFP (~21), but I was surprised to find that for about the same price (and even cheaper) you can take a color. Then I considered the Canon MF633Cdw color MFP, which cost a little less than 18 (!) TR, but, having calculated the cost of a print, I came to the conclusion that it was becoming extremely expensive. The cost of consumables was very expensive, the cartridge capacity was the smallest, etc. That is, the less you pay for the device "at the input", the more the print of one sheet costs at the output. In the end, I settled on this model, which cost ~ 25 Although the consumables for it are also not cheap, but the bet was also on the fact that the model is new, and after some time they will learn how to make inexpensive compatible consumables. In principle, this is what happened, although the price reduction is not yet strong. The setup took some time, but this is due to the fact that there was not much experience in setting up a network MFP. I downloaded and installed the KX driver with extended port monitor for 2022 market driver from the official website, the driver for the scanner, and the Kyocera Print Center scanning application for Win 10 from the Microsoft Store. Everything went well, although not quickly. I donโ€™t use scanning from the device to the network as unnecessary, although at first I started to set it up (according to rumors, there are difficulties with fine-tuning the user and determining the network folder for saving scans - it seems that even if everything is done correctly, it may not work). Now the MFP is completely satisfied with me and my employees. More often we scan on it, less often we print something in color, or b / w - when Canon requires refueling or service. The only thing is that scanning and printing take a long time, but the speed of printing, and especially scanning, is very high!

Pros
  • Fast color printing, fast two-sided scanning, Wi-Fi operation, automatic paper feeder when scanning, large paper tray, touch screen, relatively inexpensive price.
Cons
  • Expensive cost of consumables, it is difficult to find compatible consumables and they are also expensive (cartridges, toner, chips), slow response to commands over the network, complexity of settings and intricacy of software (it seems like a weak point of all Kyocera office equipment).
