Review on 💻 15-Inch Notebook Cooler: Silverstone Tek Ultra-Light Aluminum Cooling Pad with Low Noise 200mm Fan (NB04S) by Josh Maher

I liked the simplicity of this design and it turned out I could easily replace the fan in the future if needed. However, the design of this product is completely wrong. It's clearly designed to be mounted on a flat surface, but there's not enough room under the fan to draw in the air it needs to spin at the right speed. This puts a strain on the fan motor and causes a pulsing noise that is quite annoying. I tried stacking the whole thing on a few blocks so it can pull more air and the fan spins noticeably faster (and you can feel the extra airflow, too). However, the fan was still too loud for my taste. I confirmed my device was fine by contacting Silverstone Technical Support who responded within 48 hours. They claimed everything was working as planned and didn't offer any solutions to what I believe to be a problem. Luckily I kept all the packaging and the original box and sent the item back with no hassle. Finally, Revain misrepresents the product dimensions. I was specifically looking for one to keep my laptop from hanging around. Revain dimensions are for the box it comes in, not the device itself. If you still want to buy this (really?), check with Silverstone for actual measurements.
