It took me a little time to get used to them. They closely mimic walking barefoot. I even felt single leaves on the sidewalk as I walked across it. It also took some time to get used to the movement. My calves need more work, but I suspect this is because my feet have been over-supported my entire life. Now that I've been using them for a while my feet and legs are adjusting well to the new movement and my calves seem to be getting stronger. Not that I'd recommend jumping right at work, but it's great for restoring natural walking form during an afternoon stroll.
