I've tried several iPad holders, most of them cheap plastic, and I won't trust a $1600 tablet, especially if it doesn't come in one hold case . , this one is way better than these but still doesn't measure up, and an iPad with a case, at least none of the ones I have and I have the more popular ones, the flip phone and the turtle. The grips on them are strong but very shallow, about half an inch deep, the rubber used is good quality but very stiff so the iPad doesn't sink in enough when clamped that I can trust it enough to mount it on a tripod without using a bag. So I need to change this one or start looking for another one to try. I will say this is the best quality I have come across, although arca style does not fit arca style mounting plates, at least not the ones i have, i had to use a 1/4-20 protector Mount this on my stand.
