Edit: My phone charged twice as fast after plugging it into the Apple charging block. For this reason I changed my three stars to five stars! This cable is very nice to look at when connected. It shows red lights along the wire to the phone. When I plugged it into my computer my phone was at 53% charge and an hour later it was at 62% charge. I think this cable will work for those of us who plug our phones in at night. Both the USB connector and phone connector feel very secure and require some tugging (not recommended). I would take this phone cord overnight or for times when you may be plugging in your phone for long periods of time.
