Review on Chemical Guys TVD_201_16 Vintage Dressing by Cody Wuol

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow; many uses. Soaks first on old tread rubber. I assume this is to be expected.

I've used a lot of Chemical Guys products and in general I think their products are several orders of magnitude higher than mass market products. I've tried it on some forgotten rubber products that had nothing to do with cars. I found the first 5 uses to absorb quickly leaving a dry, flat surface. Again, it was almost DEAD rubber. I kept wondering if the rubber could just break because it's come so far and because it's soaked up so much of the stuff. the tires are far enough. In any case, the grossly overpriced 6" contact switch I treated came back to life and didn't break. I got lucky. What's interesting to me is that after soaking up the rubber, the surface stayed shiny even after it dried. As for cars so I've used it on tires and some pesky trim that was starting to grey. Works great there and it was a lot less hassle to get rid of the gray than various 'back to black' type products. Don't get me wrong ;I still have Mother's Back To Black and love it.I will be using it until it runs out.I will however stick with the CG product which I am reviewing here for future use.One thing that worries me is that it has a kind of fruity-fresh scent. Aromas like this foo foo always make me doubt its effectiveness. However, so far so good. Products that have been left in the sun for a long time just look great s. Actually better than ever. That is, after some time I do not see any deterioration in the sun. mm
