I don't know how cleanliness, thickness or warmth can describe the product it works on. A minor complaint was that one of the pins connecting the second parallel port was bent (no performance degradation), apparently indicating it was damaged during assembly or packaging. As promised, the kit included two shorter brackets and an installation CD with drivers. Since I'm using Windows 10, I use one for the printer (requires a male-to-male adapter) and one for the Sentinel Pro dongle. As for the drivers, the best thing is to download them from the official website, extract the files and run the exe to install the drivers. I can't believe Windows still hasn't figured out how to automatically install the parallel port drivers. The price is pretty high considering this part is decades old, but hey, it works pretty well.
