When you get one of these it doesn't seem to work. The weak point is where the wires connect to the alligator clips. I have other chargers that use a similar plug and clamp, I connected one of these and the Motopower charger worked. So I went back and found a bad wire to clip connection, mine was on a black clip. It looks like they solder the end of the wire and then crimp it into a terminal. This was a problem area as I was able to wiggle and toggle it on/off at that exact spot. The charger itself works perfectly. Easy to fix, I crimped it again with a small pair of pliers and there you go. Given the purchase price, I'm not surprised. This is only a 1 amp charger for small batteries, works with large ones but is slower. Ideal for motorcycles and the like. Not really designed to charge a dead car battery, it can be done but will take a few days. I know it.
