I bought this suit for my cat's neutering. She started licking the seams and I figured she was going to fight back by wearing a suit. Putting the costume on was very easy. Place her head first, then her legs and secure with Velcro. That's wonderful. It fits perfectly. Not too cozy; not too loose to wriggle out. I ordered size XL; I wouldn't order a smaller one for a medium sized cat. This probably won't work for a big cat; they must offer XXL and above. It's absolutely perfect. I ordered XL; She is a medium sized, fluffy Persian. This prevents her from licking her threads, but she can also run around the house like a crazy banshee as usual.
