I ordered a transparent ineo 3.0 USB hard drive case for one of the 2.5 drives I removed from my broken laptop. It was easy to connect the drive and snap the case into place without tools. The drive comes with a USB 3.0 cable and does not require a separate power supply. The cable is a bit short to connect to my Pro3 interface as it only has one USB connector and it's at the top of the screen. However, I have a USB hub with its own cord, so I used it as an extension cord. It worked straight away with my surface and I also tried to transfer movie files from PC to it and now use it for my media player. This seems enough to play 1080p video files without lag or delay. It has a blue light indicating traffic which is actually too bright and distracting when plugged into my media player under my TV. Using a hard drive enclosure is a great way to get extra storage space from spare 2.5 inch laptop drives.
