My daughter is about to start TK in a private school. I bought navy blue shorts hoping they would be good for school. She is 3 years old. She carries 4t/5t. I ordered 4. After he shut it, it fell to the ground. He was so incredibly tall. I tried this size 4 on my 6 year old who normally wears a size 7/8 and it fit better. They work very well. After adjusting the waist by 4 notches on both sides, she now looks so shabby and sloppy. I put this on over my older child's panties and the size 4 shorts are the same as the size 7 panties my older child has. This is madness! who decides it has to be size 4 😵‍💫 awful awful size and fit. And even with the adjustment, while it helped, the shorts are VERY big underneath. TO RETURN. If you are looking for private school shorts I recommend another brand. Either what the school recommends or french toast. We usually buy french toast at school but wanted to try and change that because it looks cute in the shopping picture. What a disappointment
