Review on Orgain Organic Plant Protein SMores by Brenda Willoughby

I just ate one of these 5 minutes ago. I love the ingredients and the food. I also like Orgain cocktails so I wanted to try their bars. I was surprised they didn't match the overall quality of the cocktails. Immediately the taste is a big disappointment. They don't taste like s'mores at all, so using this slogan is a misleading marketing ploy. They taste like any other average, barely edible protein bar. They're soft, chewy, and sweet without much flavor. And they have a chalky texture and a slightly bitter aftertaste. I'm usually very indulgent with the taste and texture of this type of food, but this really needs to be done better. They don't taste as terrible as bars from NoCow, but not nearly as good as bars from Aloha, 22 Days, or Square Organics. They have a similar texture to Raw Rev Glo bars, which isn't great. I will finish the box because I think the ingredients are good and I need nourishment. But then I look for something else.
