Other people have complained about the low performance of this humidifier and said it makes no difference. I do not agree. I've used the car's humidity sensor on a few long drives and while the humidity rose slowly at first, it gradually increased. I'm in Tucson and when I left the house the humidity had dropped about 17 percent. An hour later the humidity in the car had risen to 19 or 20 percent. I kept it going by running errands for hours and occasionally opening the door to get in and out. When I got home, my meter in the car showed up to 27 percent. I'm not sure how much this data can be trusted, but I believe it was worth the money and effort to keep it filled and running during my travels (make sure to use distilled water, btw). I would recommend anyone who needs serious moisture at all times to run two of these at the same time (you'll probably need a cigarette lighter splitter to plug in both at the same time).
