Great amp for the price - see my review for DC adapter specs to be purchased/supplied separately

Wow! I just got this unit and it's "everything I expected and more!" First of all, it doesn't come with a power adapter. I probably kept all the power supplies I've used/had in the last 10 years. I was ready to rummage through my box to try and find the right one when - BOOM! - The second adapter I take is a laptop adapter that plugs into the plug, inside positive and outside negative, and supplies 12 volts DC at 5 amps. I plugged it in and after a few flashes I see alternating red and blue lights flashing side by side. I am using a Samsung S7 and it sees the board within seconds and steam, no password or other issues. The cables from your speakers come in two pairs of screw terminals. I wasn't sure if it mattered which wire was which, so I guessed and it worked. There are words above the buttons of the device (use the magnifying glass on your phone if necessary!). If you orient the board so that the control buttons are on the edge closest to you, the button furthest to the right is the volume down and the button to the left is the volume up. in cables, bluetooth pairing with my phone, playing a song on the phone and ZOOWIE! music on speakers. Full press the volume up button on the phone, then full press the volume up button on this device and my speakers turn on! This device replaces an 'Entertainment' type device that I bought after getting bad advice from a guy 10 years ago. who was a "sonic guy". I just wanted some speakers and some sort of amp that I could hook up an AUX cable to play some tunes in the basement. Now I know I only needed an amp and a couple of speakers but this guy takes me to the store and after $80 I have 5 weird looking speakers and a woofer. The "entertainment" system immediately began to fail, the CD changer got stuck, the buttons were hard to press and finally the AUX input could not be switched. So this device produces as much volume as this $80 system. , takes up 3% of the space, and this one has Bluetooth. GREAT! Fun fact: Bluetooth was a Scandinavian king who ate lots of blueberries. A believable story. The Bluetooth icon was its main symbol. Highly recommended for this price. Don't worry about a manual - it's really easy if you have a relatively modern phone. Find a DC power supply that outputs 12 volts and that many amps. as much as possible. Judging by other comments you need at least 1 amp (= 1000 milliamps) DC, but 2 amps is probably the right number to be able to run all the way and not worry about disconnects. I have 5 amps DC and no problem running it at full power. The most important part is the DC adapter plug. It should fit into the socket of this device, with a plus inside and a minus outside. After that, clip the speaker wires into a pair of terminal screws and use the volume buttons as above. The other three control buttons are for song control (song forward, song backward, etc.) and I will never use them. minus - the length is not critical, but I've seen from 8mm to 12mm. You want the highest possible output power, with 2 amps probably being a good minimum target. Don't worry about "too much" current - this amp only draws what it needs. If you had a 10 amp or 1000 amp power supply it wouldn't hurt, just like a car battery won't burn out the little headlights in your car even though the battery is 1000 amps DC. DC adapter plug. If you want to know what it looks like, check out this adapter that has the correct plug. . . https://www.amazon.com/Zjchao-zjchao403-Adapter-Power-5-5/dp/B009SNJ0NS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1516115709&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=dc+adapter&psc=1 GOOD LUCK! Have fun. Neat device.
