Review on πŸ”§ AULLY PARK Universal Steering Wheel Cover: Genuine Leather Stitch On Wrap, Size L+ (Black) - Enhance Your Steering Experience! by Micael Casillas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used to Momo knowing what I need to change.

I have a 90's Momo in my EG hatchback. The wheel has 2 larger/thicker sections at 10 and 2 making it difficult to wrap with a standard kit to decide I bought the largest knowing I would have to cut some more. Use tape to wrap the wheel in the part that needs recoating. I then used a razor to carefully cut through the inside of the wheel where the visibility would eventually be, then carefully removed the tape to use as a template. I then took the masking tape template and used it to trace the new leather, the largest size was large enough to cut/remove the pre-punched tie/tie holes so they weren't visible on the new install. I then took a spare piece of material and used it as a template to punch holes in the new piece after trying it out on the bike. See photo. Using a tiny set of screwdrivers and a 2x4 section, I gently stretched the leather and used 2 screwdrivers to hold the ends together and a third to punch holes in the edge of the piece I just cut. Make sure the edges are aligned. this resulted in a very easy installation and a perfectly even hole pattern. The end result was excellent. Take your time and be sure to cut with good sharp scissors. Likewise. Trim the maximum overall width by about 1/4" to allow for material stretch and allow for a cleaner fit. I wouldn't recommend trimming the short side around the perimeter of the entire wheel, but rather around the perimeter of the actual wheel Cut. Hold where your arms encircle (i.e. front to back should be shorter, not left to right if that makes sense) cord, and once you've sewn the entire length, turn the fabric, right side out to center the stitching along the inside edge before pulling the cord across from one side.nor should you if you carve properly and take your time with the installation.Final photos of the installation follow.
