Great little unit! in Egg Boilers

Wow! I just received this product and used it for the first time. Read the instructions and reviews before use. I boiled four eggs for the first time. Went with the suggestion NOT to drill a hole in the top of the egg. Make sure the small end of the egg is pointing down into the shell. Accurately measured water. I agree with the previous negative reviews here. A cup of water is very difficult to read. But as soon as I could read it, I just marked it with a permanent marker. Cold eggs are used. Pour water into the center of the water tank as indicated. Make sure the cover is in place and secured to the base. Turn on the device and wait. When the machine beeped that the eggs were ready, I immediately removed the lid and eggs and placed them in cold water as instructed. I then refrigerate the eggs for a few hours. Eggs pulled, peeled and got 4 perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs! I mean perfect. Made a second batch of 6 with varying amounts of water as needed and voila, same great result. I don't know why I haven't tried one of them before. Here are some of my guesses as to why some of the others were having trouble. just my question The eggs are not cold, the egg is cracked, the large end of the egg is turned down instead of up, the egg is too big or too small, the water is not measured accurately, the lid is not tightly closed, remove immediately and placed in cold water. All of this is in the instructions. As I said, the only thing I didn't do in the instructions was poke a hole in the egg. To me, the reason I did this would be like cracking an egg. I am so happy with this purchase (time will tell if it stays that way). And for the money, with results like this, you just can't believe in the ease of use. PS Daughter is a waitress and when she came into the house and saw this she informed me that the cook she works at uses a small block to boil hard boiled eggs. for their salads because he said the old-fashioned way was easier. Hope that helps.
