Review on 🍶 Zulu Atlas Glass Water Bottle - Silicone Sleeve Included by Adam Hogan

When I first received the bottle and washed it there was still a plastic/rubber/silicone odor and taste. I soaked the bottle and lid (removed the round silicone seal on the lid) and soaked the whole thing in dish soap, baking soda, and vinegar for several hours, brushing the parts several times. I rinsed and let it air dry and the odor problem was gone. If the water is in the bottle for more than a few hours, the silicone flavor will still permeate the water, so topping up and storing in the fridge is not an option. I wonder if washing in a dishwasher helps (I don't have one) so many positive reviews. I like that it's glass, that water doesn't usually come into contact with plastic parts, and that you can drink out of the rim of the glass instead of the plastic lid. The one-handed button lid is great, although it makes a popping noise. The bottle is heavier than most, so it's not easy to tip over, and it won't leak even if turned upside down. The case is protective, with a non-slip texture located at the bottom, which prevents the formation of condensation, feels comfortable and matches the color. Reasonably priced bottle, perfect size for my needs and I love the design. I really like this water bottle except that I can't keep water in it for more than a few hours and I'm concerned about the health effects.
