Review on 🧽 Boscia Konjac Cleaning Sponge: The Ultimate Exfoliating Tool by Andrew Pierceson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent gentle peeling for sensitive skin!

I confess I actually bought it directly from Sephora, not Revain. But I thought this thing deserved a fair review. I have sensitive skin and am prone to occasional hormonal spikes, but not acne at all. My skin is also relatively normal/balanced but I live in the desert and cannot use exfoliating cleansers as they are too harsh (grainy) and dry out my skin. Also, a lot of moisturizers irritate me, so I try to make sure the cleansing procedure doesn't damage my skin. My regular skincare routine includes a gentle cleansing cream that I use once or twice a day depending on activity or when I'm wearing makeup. Pretty bare bones. So I try my best to keep a balance between being properly clean and properly hydrated. The only problem I couldn't solve with a cleansing cream is a couple of black dots in the T-zone. Face brushes are too coarse for me, let alone expensive. With this gentle little sponge combined with a cleanser, I never have to change cleansers or buy an extra scrub and moisturizer ever again. It's so nice when we're thoroughly (but carefully!) cleaned and don't feel tight after showering. The person who said it didn't affect their skin probably has more serious skin issues that they are not properly addressing. (probably needs an exfoliation but is using the wrong cleanser or eating poorly). If you need to exfoliate your skin, this will get the job done without scratching your face, ripping off dead skin, or worsening blemishes. NOTE: Do not remove makeup with this sponge. This is a natural fiber sponge that picks up dirt/oils from your makeup and is difficult to remove from the sponge. Also, the product should be replaced every few months. It should also be left to dry in a clean place between uses. Costs $20 at Sephora.
