Review on Hechengdianzi HAM Manual Antenna Tuner: 1-30 Mhz | Efficient Helper for DIY HAM HF Radio QRP Kits & Antenna Erection by Braxton Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great but needs some work

The only thing I changed on it is the Run/Test switch. Sometimes the contacts didn't touch, so I installed another switch. Overall the tests are decent for the price and I wouldn't use it to transfer 2-5 watts with a ferrite core and components. 10 watts will surely heat up the device. A note to other users about the small ferrite loop. Pay attention to the instructions on how to wrap and space the direction. I've tested mine on a spectrum analyzer, an S-parameter test set and a directional coupler to measure SWR and just played around with the unit. It was fun to build if you enjoy soldering and packaging ferrites and testing them. I connect mine to HackRF SDR
