I bought two of these cases for my son's 11.6 inch Acer Chromebook who is now 12 years old. The first lid lasted almost 2 years and could have lasted longer - the only thing wrong with it was a broken brace for one of the retractable legs, meaning that leg would not stay closed and would eventually come loose. Nevertheless, we bought another one because the case fitted perfectly and protected the computer well; and I'm happy to say that the second cover fits just as well as the first. It's unfortunate that the leg latch broke and we had to buy another one, but my son loves the legs and we think their design is appropriate for a budget case like this. So I can recommend this case with the warning that in the event of a computer crash it is unlikely to offer any real protection.
