Review on 🔫 Dye DSR Paintball Gun by Chris Spoja

I've been a Dye Endorser since the mid 90's. They came out with this gun and I should have had it. What mistake! Trust me I really hate giving a 1 star review on a dye product. First, the gun leaked right out of the box. Completely unacceptable for a $900 marker. Dai didn't mind sending me some details to fix this as this seems to be a known issue (obviously more R&D is needed before release!) but I figured I didn't need to work on a brand new weapon and just gave it back. Not only did my gun malfunction and leak right out of the box, I immediately noticed a major design flaw as soon as I picked up the gun, which amazes me why the dye engineers were so careless and overlooked: the trigger guard IS SQUARE EDGE. . Yes, SQUARE, (read: razor-sharp) edges! The back of the thumb is cut when the front handle is grasped. Just totally bad and not like the slick markers that Dye used to come out with. I have a feeling they rushed into the market with this gun and didn't do the proper development and refinement that is required when you're selling a $900 marker. I wouldn't even pay 300€ for something like that. Other disadvantages include an unnecessary eyelet, poor handle design, plastic lever on the ASA, uneven tilt, and a front handle with a coin lock. I got mine too and it looked like the ASA was given up before anodizing which can be seen by the large dent on it which was obviously made before anodizing. Also, when anodized, the bolted-on back cover was a slightly different green than the rest of the case. Where is the quality control? It really ruined the whole point and joy of buying a new gun for me. Stay away from them and grab the M2 if at all, or preferably the Planet Eclipse cannon, because DSR clearly means "refine/research something (more)", which I advise Dai.
