I've always loved the Baby Place but must have gotten the size mixed up somehow because they are huge. I left because he would grow into her. For reference, my son is 7 years old and weighs about 65 pounds. When I buy shorts in Walmart shape, I buy him big ones. Hope this helps as these are comfortable good quality shorts!
