Review on 🐈 Enhance Your Cat's Freedom with Pet Mate Cat Doors by Satsuki Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cat-a-strophic for creatures that are not allowed to enter/exit my barn.

I have an unexpected "crop" of 6 kittens born to a wild cat on my ranch. Mom (crazy) lashed out as soon as she could take the kittens away but I adopted them and now they live a spoiled life as they have their own automatic door to my barn. I didn't even bother to read the instructions. Installation is easy (well, it was in the shed) and the hardest part was installing the magnets on the new cat "necklaces". It's not the magnet's fault, just arthritis. My kittens are around 13 weeks old and have adapted easily to their new door. I went outside and stuck the spring in the bottom of the door and soon they were coming in and out with no problem. My biggest concern is that the hole will look too small as these kittens grow as they grow into adult cats. Time will tell and I plan to upgrade. I'm guessing the thing is made in the UK. This calls for an odd naming for the battery, which is located at the bottom of the door (why didn't they just call it the 9 volt battery?). Exit. (UPDATE) 5 months after my purchase this door is still working great and my adult cats are coming and going as they please. Another wild cat has appeared who has no idea how or why my adopted cats can get through this "magic wall". However, since there are no skunks, raccoons, badgers, possums or anything else in and out other than my house cats, I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive
