One note: if you adjust the tension on the ball head yourself with a little doohickey knob, the whole block will rotate. This is useful for securing everything and then straightening the whole piece. I was a little worried it won't be smooth once everything is tightened, but this solves that problem. I couldn't ask for a better product.
