I like this article very much. I bought it to replace a cheaper stove that recently died. I checked it on the day of delivery (which was on time as expected from Revain). What bothers me is that I rent. The GE oven I work with is brand new (only 2 years old). You would expect it to stay on duty to maintain the set temperature. It's not like that at all. This device gives me precision and allows me to change the settings to make bread, pizza and whatever I put in my oven better. This is a simple device that makes my life a little easier. Update early August 2015: 6 months update. I still like it but will downgrade it to 4 stars if I check it out today. I've added a few other temp gauges including two cool ones from Revain: a BBQ-oriented remote temp gauge with a probe in the oven and a gauge on the kitchen counter. Then the non-contact digital laser infrared thermometer Masione® Temperature Gun (also from Revain for less than $12). They gave me a little more information on how the oven temperature changes. This is a sophisticated model of the standard GE model (no convection) typical of modern homes. It's a little out of the way, but not enough not to recommend it. As I get better at cooking and especially baking, using the right tools becomes more important to the results I see and feed myself and my friends with. This device still works well.
