I bought this to replace an OEM power supply in a 3D printer. The old one was fine, I just wish I had a branded power supply in my machine that sometimes printed over 30 hours. I immediately liked how thin the block is. Same rating as OEM, only smaller. After plugging in the device and warming up the bed, the fan runs at full blast and the thing is so loud that I had to take a close look to make sure everything was ok. It lights up for a minute, then turns off after a minute, then turns on and off, full power and off are the only two cooling options. Bottom line, this block isn't a silent replacement, and you'll notice it. This is the noisy block you want to replace. I will either add a resistor to the fan circuit or replace it with a silent fan. As for a good power supply, I haven't run this thing long enough to know for sure. It didn't lack after a long day of typing, so it works well and the print quality is good so far.
