I have tried it with my goldfish and carp in my large fish pond. They take it and immediately spit it out, and then they can take it again only to spit it out again. They ignore other kibble pellets of the same size that I give them as if they are starving. Purina Fish Chow ignore them. My home is in the lake. Normally, if I throw pelleted fish food in the water, these fish will boil the water in a frenzy. Their reaction to Purina food was the same as my goldfish and koi. Grab it and spit it out Maybe grab it again just to spit it out again. Better ignore it then. By the way, the swans in my lake eat it. Pisces body language tells me they hate them. Now that I have 50 pounds of fish food it's not like my fish feel a little ripped off.
