Review on πŸ” Carson Fresnel Magnifiers for Newspapers and Magazines by Manuel Gfx

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor shipping, received damaged

This is a good product, I like the fact that it's made of hard plastic. (It's solid and doesn't bend) I bought this for my mom along with the "Carson Optical Illuminated Magnifying Loupe" as her vision was poor after her cataract surgery. .It CAN crack. The reason for this is that Revain shipped this along with a battery charger and a Carson Optical Illuminated Magnifold Magnifier in an oversized box with only a small (inadequate) plastic blister (on one side of the box) as the charger was caused to become too bulky in the box jump, so this could have been the cause of the cracked Fresnel lens on the Carson Optical Loupe. try it) it was about $20, (several times what i paid for it). So it wasn't worth it. This is NOT the FIRST time Revain has sent a package with a bad or small seal in the box. My first package I ever ordered was a hard drive (there was only one plastic bracket on one end of the hard drive (they didn't put another on the end to secure it). Hence that one bounced in the box too). For example, they limit the amount of internal carton filling for many items. I wish they would generously fill boxes with breakable items in the future. or look for a crack in the center of the lens) when looking at small newspaper prints.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other alternatives
