Today I did another check for a third party compatible cartridge. It was not good. We previously used Lexmark cartridges. I count four to this day and have tried the cheaper one. It wasn't worth it. A week later we bought this original cartridge and returned the quality. A defective cartridge smeared our shipping labels, as did many documents. With this cartridge there is no smearing and documents are crisp. I'm the kind of person who doesn't always pay the premium charged by companies that oversell 'native' consumables, but in this case it seems worth the premium. Cost if you value quality. Toner is just better.
