My son loved these boots and they are just as good quality as the Keen boots. However, these boots come with elastic laces. This type of lacing is very inefficient for these boots. They cannot be tightened around a child's foot as the elastic will only continue to stretch and not tighten the boot. It seemed to my son that he was pulling so hard that the elastic could snap and it wouldn't tighten the boot at all. We love the boots anyway, but we went out and bought laces instead. We cut the rubber bands and put on new ones. Now the boots dress normally and my son really likes them.
