Does what it should.
This little voltmeter does what it's supposed to do. I have a 12v battery in the garage and another 12v battery in the car. There are 3 types of connectors in the box. To test the battery in my car I used the cigarette lighter socket. Read: 12.3 V. Yes, well as can be. To test the battery in the garage I used alligator clips. Read: 12.4 V. Also good! There are also clamp connectors which I could have used as well but didn't need to. It's good to have extra ones. Simple and straightforward, right out of the box.
- Checking the start and battery charge β€ When starting the engine, check that the alternator starting voltage is working correctly. Check the condition of the charging system to ensure that the battery is not damaged by overcharging or discharging. It's much more convenient than driving miles to find the nearest auto repair shop.
