Review on Powerful and Versatile: Panasonic NI-E660SR Dry and Steam Iron in MEDIUM, White/Purple by Ron Kishore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I hate ironing but this is a great iron.

Really good iron. I wasn't sure about the polished stainless steel soleplate, but was amazed to find that it was an update of my old non-stick coating. Also, I've noticed that all the expensive, high-end irons use stainless steel soleplates. It heats up very quickly, is well balanced and comfortable to use. I find it more stable than my old iron when sitting upright, but after the latter broke from hitting the ironing board and being dropped I bought a pad and left it face down. I can't say anything about the steam function, I use a spray gun. I like the retractable cord, it's convenient to store. The cord itself is very long and the retractable feature makes it easy to adjust its size to suit your specific ironing needs. I have noticed that most Panasonic irons are very affordable for their price, quality and features and this lives up to their reputation to date. ***UPDATE*** Well it's been over a month now and I've been ironing everything that can be ironed in my house. This is a really good iron. My shirts look amazing as always and the stainless steel plate and design makes it really easy to get into those hard to reach places. I even ironed the new sheets I bought for my new bed. It's really good because it doesn't pull on the fabric, and with a little help, this job was quick and painless. This month I really appreciated the retractable cord. It's safe and easy to remove a hot iron with it. I no longer have to leave a hot iron in the washing machine until it cools, only to wrap the cord around it (knowing it will fall apart and fall) to put away. I'm actually glad I broke my last iron.
